Blue Dove Coffee

Veteran-owned coffee shop · 3+ locations · NYC: Union Square, SoHo, Tribeca

A Union Square coffee cart that went viral and became two Manhattan storefronts, still wholly owned by the Army veteran who started it. The buildout money came from public bondholders lending at 11.5 percent, not from investors buying a stake.

Founder-run

The Big Picture

Genuinely Independent

Founder Amadeo Falce owns Blue Dove Coffee outright and runs it day to day; the only outside money is a bond issue sold to retail investors, which pays interest but carries no ownership stake. It names an origin farm and a certification for each of its four blends, though nothing between those farms and the cup is disclosed and none of it is independently verifiable. Barely two years old, the company has little public labor or environmental record in either direction, and Falce answers to bondholders for repayment and to no one else for control.
