Diljān is a family bet: two cousins from an Astoria café team up with an established independent baker to bring Afghan pastries to Brooklyn Heights, funding it themselves. As a single-location bakery open less than a year, it has little public labor, environmental, or sourcing record to weigh yet. The people behind the register are the same people who signed the lease.
