Pura Vida Miami
All-day cafe chain · 56+ locations · Miami, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Tampa, NYC, Washington DC, Los Angeles
A Miami Beach cafe that became a 56-location wellness chain across six states and Washington, DC. The husband-and-wife founders still own the majority and run it, though the private equity firm behind CorePower Yoga took a minority stake in 2025 to fund the national build-out.
The Big Picture
Omer and Jennifer Horev founded Pura Vida in 2012 and still hold the majority, running it as CEO and Chief Brand Officer. Hourly pay sits above the local market median in both Miami and New York, and the Florida cafes decline the tip credit state law would let them take. Its sourcing and environmental claims carry no named suppliers and no outside certification, and the founders have run the national build-out since November 2025 alongside TSG Consumer, the private equity firm that also owns CorePower Yoga.
