Fitness · 56+ locations · NYC, NJ + converting former Blink locations
PureGym is the UK budget-gym giant that bought Blink Fitness out of bankruptcy for $121M. It erased the Blink brand from its own storefronts. The site now just redirects to PureGym.
The Big Picture
PureGym's US business is what's left of Blink Fitness — the budget chain Equinox built and bankrupted — bought for $121 million at a bankruptcy auction by a UK giant owned by Leonard Green & Partners and KKR. The Blink brand has been erased, its website now redirecting to PureGym's. Members' dues flow to two of the world's largest PE firms, with a 65% first-year earnings jump funding further expansion.
